India's largest floating solar power plant

India's Largest floating power plant
Floating solar power plant project, this is the first floating project in India under the Flexibilisation scheme, notified by Government of India in 2018.
Solar energy is consider as the cleanly power of energy and it is natural. The solar energy is converted into the electrical energy by the principles of photo electric effect and the electricity is stored and used for whatever purposes we need.
The only limitation is that it requires the surface. It means need of land space to install the power plants to utilize the energy and it
requires huge space. Floating power projects are consider as the alternative to deal with land scarcity. The idea is to install the solar panels on the floats of land, reservoirs or any other bodies of water. In areas like the land is expensive and scarce then the good solution is floating power plants.
The Asian countries dominate the worldwide floating market, with Japan and China account for the 259MV of operational energy. National Thermal Power Corperation(NTPC) is building a floating power plant solar project at Vishakapatnam,Andra Pradesh. It will be the biggest floating solar power plant. It is endowed with the advanced technology as well as eco-friendly feautres.Measuring 25MV, on the
reservoir of its simhadri thermal power plant.Simhadri station, a 2000MV coal-fired vpower plant, was the first to execute an open sea intake from Bay of Bengal.
The process of which the floating solar power plant includes
More than 1 lakh amount of solar power panels are introduced which is nearly providing current supply for 7000 homes.Save approximately 1,364 million litres of water eacy year, which will help to cover the annual water needs of 6000 homes.

Advantages of the floating solar power plant:
1)Land issue got lower:Becuase of the floating power project can reduce the land usage and more based on water.
2)Cooling effect:It increases the cooling effect of the water bodies because of the photo-voltic effect from 5 to 10 percent.
3) Water evaporation also got reduced.
Challenges in contructing solar power plant.
4) The power generation is also going to increase in the upcoming years.
